Importing a Common Cartridge (eCanvas, D2L Brightspace, Moodle, Schoology, Blackboard Learn, etc.) course

Exporting from your LMS

In order to work with your LMS course, you will need to first export your course as a common cartridge file, which is a zip file in .imscc format. How to do this will depend on your LMS, but here are some frequently used ones.

Note: Make sure you watch the file size. Currently Lazuli only accepts 100mb uploads, so if you have large files or videos, you may consider making a copy of the course and removing those first or hosting them externally.

Importing to Lazuli

Importing a common cartridge course is simple in Lazuli. Make sure you upload the .imscc compressed file. We'll then recreate the course structure and convert any media, assessments (problems), interactions, etc. possible.

Note: not all interactive types can convert over. There may be some files that are skipped in the upload because they are too big, or not in a format we can accept. Some complex interactions may also be skipped. Keep this in mind as you work with the incoming file.
